the stock turbo boot wont fit in an S30 you need to cut it shorter and mount the filter directly on the AFM so it all fits off to the side behind the radiator, that or make a custom intake. here's how mine looked:

hope that helps

A little off topic, but I was wondering, would having the cone filter right on the end of the MAF like that cause the intake air to be alot warmer since you're pulling the air from the engine bay? Would it be better to route pipe out past the radiator support?

warmer by a couple degrees the S30 engine bay is SO open and free flowing it wont really do to much to IAT's and the minimal amount it DOES effect IAT's it wont show in performance unless at high boost and you start to heat soak the turbo or something.
