Radiator ??? 1979 280zx
I have a 1979 280zx and on the way back from work engine over heated so i pulled over let it cool off and then added water to radiator and oil in the engine rode for like 10 mins had to refill the radiator but after that i rode for 30-40 mins back to the house and it over heated like the first time with loud ring and hissing sound when i got out of the car. whats somethings i can do to check if i have to replace the radiator or what?? anything will help.

seriously????
ok well fill the radiator plum full
turn on car
find out wer the leak is from
hoses, pump, radiator, radiator cap
the leak will b obvious
if no leak is present then in in the engine and you need to check your oil for oil water mix
there is a company on ebay that sells a solid aluminum radiator for a decent price not a bad upgrade if you have to replace it

If it is your radiator leaking, not much you can do but replace it.

More than likely, if it's "Hissing", you have a leak in one of your hoses, as I presume some coolant lines are still there from the factory, and are starting to crack
