well got it all fixed today. i had the cam gear one link the wrong way and now she runs good . went back though and locked everybolt down realy good one last time started right up even when she's cold just sound like crap new muffle is on the way. it was a lot of work but after it all said a done it worth every bit of it .... my header has one stud@bolt right in the middle up under the intake ..the intake blocks the stud from putting a socket over it has anyone had this problem befor someone told me to try a 12mm crows foot open end....will this work..
i have a msa header if that helps

i just dont want to go buy that tool if it wont work........

Yeah I have had that problem on my '81. When I had to replace the intake gasket. It was a PITA! And there was that one bolt to make it where you wish your arm bent another way!LOL Anyway glad to hear that you got your Z running! I can't wait until I drive mine again! But it will be a long while. I still have to pay back my dad for the Firebird I redid the engine on. Talk to you later

I was able to get at all the studs with a 3/8" drive socket on a U-joint connection. Then a long extension off the back of the u-joint.

Also, there is that little metal plate on the top center of the manifold. It unbolts and allows access to one manifold stud on top. Maybe that's the one you're talking about.

I like that steering wheel. Do you know a place that sells those 'style' of steering wheels but with 1 or 2 little buttons on the arms of the wheel? Like in the F&F movies. It would be for my horn!
