Refinishing Enkei 92's

So I picked up a set of Enkei 92's for my S130 at a great price. However they had seen better days thats for sure. They are 16"x7" with 0 offset all around. I plan on stripping them all and fully polishing them, both the lips and faces.

They arrived at my house last Thursday and I started on them immediately. Here is my progress so far:

Here is how they looked when they first arrived.

After the first round of paint stripper.

After the second round of paint stripper... getting between those spokes is such a pain and probably the most tedious task in this whole process.

and one of the lips fully polished.

I still need to sand down the face and polish that up, but that is all for this weekend, my hands are sore. So far I have 2 wheels stripped and clean, and one lip sanded and polished. I will update this thread with my progress

wow those really are pristine! I remember you posting about this a while back... I would have not been very happy w/ myself, but hey **** happens lol.

Right now my car has some cheap ADR wheels, they look good... but I am trying to bring the car back to its 80's glory.

DONE!

Abandoned polishing the faces... I was not able to get a result I was satisfied with.

Thanks. I have the Enkei center caps but all the clips are broken. The previous owner of the wheels had them siliconed on. I am working on making my own clips for them so I don't have to silicone them on.

Looks amazing! Hard to find 16's in that style. They are totally worth the effort you put into them.

4x114.3mm or 4x4.5"

Beautiful wheels man, look TONS better than your previous setup! Just need some spacers now :P

BTW: how do you like the 912's? I'll probably get those when (if ever) I get wheels for my car lol

So far they feel great, however I cant make a fair comment about them yet because I have only driven 100 miles or so on them and my previous tires were about 8 years old! So obviously there was a huge improvement over my last tires.

I can say that they are very quiet on the highway and grip very well. I purchased them because they were rated the #1 high performance all season tire by consumer reports and relatively inexpensive.

Are they like the ones, that are posted in this thread? If so, I would be interested in them. Those are the wheels I am exactly looking for. Let me know, and a price. Thanks.
