Saved another one today...

From the rabid craigslist'ers!

$500, a quart of oil and a little top off on the radiator and it drove away as beautifully as a 2+2 automatic can.

It'll definitely need new tires though. The one's on the car were about 5 years old and were cracked to hell.

Interior is in pretty good shape with the expected sun damage to the more brittle plastics. The dash looked like the grand canyon from a helicopter, the tops of the interior door panels were split pretty bad, but the t-tops don't leak from a quick water hose test and they still had the factory sunshades attached!

Unfortunately, the rust under the battery tray is terminal into the frame rails/unibody. Aside from that, it's mainly lite surface rust and 2 years worth of tree debris built up on the body eliminating the clear coat almost entirely.

It's a Turbo model, and looks like it might have a good condition black interior.

Shouldn't you be focusing on your "Top Secret" 280ZX project?

Why do even bother with looking at S130's anymore?

After all, you are rocking the mighty B210 these days. You're like Bleach... You've moved on to something far superior and don't need to be bothered by the lowly 280ZX anymore.

Rod.

Shouldnt that JCR 280ZXT be done by now? Oh wait thats right, its on its umpteenth paint job with an overall cost greater than 4 years tuition at M.I.T.

I know, i rock the b210 with a passion. But im only taking a break from the 280. I was at my last scrap of patience with the 280. Just taking a break from one headache and taking on another.

I found the LeMans Sunset Z with far less miles, much closer to my city, and only a little more money. Also, in better condition. No door dings like the Interlagos Fire car had.

No used 2006 cars came close to 3200 miles so I jumped on this deal.

eh... not really. Unless he's gonna "off-road" it, it's not really worth it.
