o.k guys, im gonna need your help here. gonna do the ecu swap soon, but i got no parts!!! the problem is, there is very limited resources here for z31's. if i can get some savvy ppl here to pull together parts for me. like the turbo dizzy. i cant get one on ebay, cause the ***** doesnt allow any bidder that isnt in the usa. and our junk yards immeadiatly crush z31's cause they hold no value here, so cant get those parts. so im asking for assitance from the fellow zdriver members. oh and i think i may need the z31 injectors??? are the 280zx n/a ones enough flow rating for this ecu? or should i get some turbo injectors? i just hate it cause my n/a ones are brand new, not even rebuilt ones.

 

Aight... we can get the parts together. N/A 280zx injectors are just about the same cc as the Z31 n/a's (180cc I believe???). The turbo ones are 259cc... so you will prolly flood out the motor at full throttle.

 

Shady, there are like 10 z31s in the yard I go to. Pick'nPull!!! I love that place. Got a perfect complete dash from an 82 280zx for my 79 for $29.00. I just have to paint it black. So let us know what you need. PM me .

 

Needed:

Z31 ecu (years 84-86) with ecu connections
-Or 87-89 if he wants to do the re-programmable ecu
Any Z31 MAF & plug (turbo or n/a)
280ZXT Distrib (both sides of the wiring connection) & oil pump shaft
Any VG30 distributor chopper wheel

 

OH SURE!!!! remember to inform HIM that he need the oil pump shaft but not MEEE i see how it is.

ill try and go with the later z31 ecu, its 8 bit!!! theres nothing here, thats why i ask. make a list of the stuff each individual can get easily and cheap, post it so we dont get doubles. ill pay shipping and all that. if your time is super valuable, then i guess you may get a cookie!! thanks for any help in advance. try and get as much harness *** poss. heck id take the whole thing and all the sensors if ya could. that way, codes mean more to the ecu.

yeah i even had a new dizzy on ebay. the ***** wouldnt let infidels from canada buy, i sent him a message (a nice one) but no go from him. its nicer dealing with friends anyway. worked on a 93 maxima yesterday, oooohhhh its got everything i need, too bad its someones car. i dont think she would notice the ecu and maf are missing.
