Shock oil

Hey guys n gals. I'm about to change out my struts and shocks later this week and while reading up on it I discovered the front has some sort of oil in the tube. Where can i get a replacement for this? Can i get it from a local parts store? Should i just reuse the old stuff? I've got some tokico hp's about to go on all 4 corners along with the springs to match . I'd appreciate the input everyone. Thanks.

Pete

I used motor oil, to put back in the tubes. Seemed to work okay. And of course I greased the other other areas on the struts. Hope that helps, and good luck man.

Light motor oil or ATF... those are the common ones to use.

Yup what they said! I've got the same set up and used some lightweight motor oil. Doesn't take much either. Did you remember to get new bump stops? They usually don't come with the set up and the others are most likely worn gone.

I've got new front bump stops. I got a master urethane bushing kit from thezstore.com too.
