Slipping clutch

Basic question though I feel I know the answer I also respect the knowledge I've constantly gotten from this forum.

My clutch is slipping and while I'd like to replace it with the same manufactures disk they only sell it as a matched set with the pressure plate. My pressure plate is still good so can iI just replace my disk with any 1" 24 spline, 240 or 9 7/16 disk?

Current setup is ceterforce 2

The size of the clutch is dependent upon the car model (n/a vs 2+2 & Turbo). The n/a uses a 225mm flywheel surface, the 2+2 & Turbo use 240mm. Assuming that's your 2+2 in your avatar, you need the 240mm.

How many miles does the current CF2 clutch have? You sure the hydraulic system is functioning correctly?

There are approximately 20-30k on the clutch but my last trans failed and also my pedal box broke and I couldn't adjust my pedals so the clutch took some abuse however my clutch pedal does float a bit sometimes if I rest my foot on the pedal it will depress about 1/2 inch.ive bleed the system five times now and it is always a steady stream. Though I have thought about draining it and fillind from the bottom.

And yes I have a 2+2 which is why I said either a 240 or 9 7/16. A 240 is 1/64th larger

Well after replacing my clutch disk. Then my slave cylinder due to the seal tearing my clutch will not fully disengage unless I pump the clutch several times then if I wait 30 seconds it will not disengage again unless I again pump the pedal. I have bleed the system enough to go through half a bottle of fluid and iI can not see any leaks. Anyone have some ideas?

Don't rule out your slave cylinder. It could also be bad. I have had a few fail on me in the past. They are usually the first thing to go, and the cheapest. Usually less than $20 or so. Good luck man.

If it's the slave cylinder I'll be a little more upset since I replaced it yesterday.

I understand, was just giving tips. I didn't realize you replaced it. It was just one of the first things to go most of the time. Good luck
