Somebody please help me

So my ignition locked up the other night and the key was stuck in the position right before you turn to crank it so i had constant ignition power flowing for a few hours and when i got it all fixed i charged up the battery and tryed to start it but no spark at all.Im guessing i fried something letting that constant power hit for so long because it was running perfectly before hand.Any one have any advice on what could of happened?

The 'ON' position that you speak of is where your ignition sets all the time the car is running. That in itself should not have hurt your car, just drained the battery.

Have your battery tested, or, if it's a manual, see if it'll push start. I have an 82 280ZX and periodically I would have to push-start it. The motor turned over fairly quick, but it wouldn't start. I had the battery tested, and it only had 80 cranking amps. The battery that was in it was supposed to put out about 800 cranking amps. New battery and presto! Starts instantly every time.

The only way I ever got it to start with the old battery, other than pushing, was jumping it off my mom's Expedition. It had a big battery and a big engine. Now that I think of it, I did start it off a Ford Ranger, but the guy had to keep the motor at a fairly high rev before the car started.

If you have no spark, then why dont you take a volt meter and see if the coil is getting power, if its getting power then test your ignition module..etc
