Spare Tired Well

Ok Enough is enough And I fear it may be making me sick. My spare tire well in rusted all the way out. Is there anyway I can get replacement steel for it Or do I have to make my own? OR Should I just delete it? I dont think that spare even works anymore

All 280zx replacement body parts can be bought through Nissan... or you can fab your own.

I replaced mine w/ Nissan OEM... it's pre-shaped, and about $100. You can make your own for super cheap, and a lot of hours.

$100 isnt TOOO bad... I'm hald temped to jsut block it off or something, tho for now Im going to cut off the rust and shape some fiberglass to fit just for the time being.

I just need to stop the exhaust from getting into the cab. I'll be checking for other holes in the cab later and the lower shift boot too.

i would just cut it out and turn it into a battery box area, its not like you could fit a usable spare tire in there, so you might as well make it good for something.

I don't think that's a spare tire well anymore...

Mine was almost that bad once I started cleaning up. The rust was holding the other rust together...

It was my understanding that if you had a battery inside the cab/pass compartment you couldn't run your car on the track. Now, that might just be certian tracks but, still is it really worth all the time and trouble? What is to be gain from putting a battery there?

See that my question there really, I guess a few more inches in the engine bay. Would be good for a sound system but I race, not blow out my ear drums lol
