I found it in a link I found.. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/turbo/index.html I was reading up on somethings.. But it will be my next project I want to make either log style or tubular headers for the Z once I get my motor in.. I will have the N/A motor to expiriment on..


Also BLACK, if you pull you rail off, with injectors still on, and turn the key {with rail aimed at bucket} they spray??

right on. just wondering if you were that "turbozfreak" I used to talk to him all the time, then he dropped off the face of the earth. That bro was nuts...

did you see his intake manifold for that L28ETT? he was using the L24 carb intakes w/ injector bungs welded in.

anyway... thas a topic for another thread I guess.

I actually have a design very much like this. The L24 carb intakes have 1.37" runners where the FI intake has only 1.25" runners. So, theoretically, you can get substantially more volume through the old L24 intake manifolds...

some time's all a motor need's is a jult. starter fluid might give ya the jolt ya need. Just somethin else to think about. It's worked in the past for me

HAVE CHECKED ALL THE GROUNDS.....I HAVE SWAPED ALL THE RALAYS .....THE ONLY PART THAT I HAVE NOT CHANGED IS THE FUEL PUMP AND I CAN HEAR IT COMING ON .....I HAVE GAS IN HER.... I CHECKED AND RECHECKED THAT THERE IS GAS AT THE FUEL FLITER ...I CAN SEE THE GAUGE MOVE WITH MY EYES..ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUEL RAIL .....WHY IS THERE NO LIGHT AT THE INJECTOR CLIPS ...THIS ECU WAS CLEAN AND DRY I REMOVED it FROM A CAR IN THE PICK AND PULL THAT ..
HAS EVERYTHING STILL THERE AND IN PLACE .....THE LIGHT COMES JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONE WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH MY Z ...

The only thing i didnt change was the dissy after i got back from the pick and pull today...well i changed it .... i turned the key and it started to hit on one or two pistons .....i started fluddering the gas and i got three to kick in and then four ....after some ruff running it smothed out to a nice idle and stayed that way ..........THANK GOD....
i think it was a a bunch of stuff the head temp something in the dissy ...i really dont know ..i changed so many things, i pretty much have a new zx hahahhahaha ...{not funny} ...iam just happy its running again ........if i reved it hard befor i would get alot of black unburnt fuel out of the back ...now it looks alot less ...i meen ALOT LESS ... i took it to get gas and its wet here ...i kicked it down and it broke lose in kick down and got a nice sideways drift for about a 1/2 block up the street ...

Yup that is good.. definetly good.. I will be back in December with luck... 450RWHP no LSD and stock rims/tires.. haha talk about being sideways..

put everything back together and went to dinner ....she did fine there and back ....iam so stoked ....as long as i get though tomarrow with out any hang ups then i think i will have fixed it ..she needs a good cleaning ....but its started and ran fine sence .....

thanks everyone for your input this was a hard one i will let you all know how tomarrow moring goes .....

well full warm up and NO problem ...I DROVE IT ALL OVER ..IT DIDNT SHUT OFF ..
IT RAN GREAT THE HOLE TIME ....wELL I would say its fixed but iam going to give it a day or two

went out an swapped IM'S back to my new one... idle smoothed out that much more
took it for a drive and she did great has NOT shut off at any stop light or any other time ...has lots of power and little to NO UNburnt fuel ...IAM going to hook UP this egr tube that bleach sent me ....after i get her all clean ..i think i want a little better gas mileage with the rize i gas prices these days its the best way to go i think...BLEACH also sent me a brake goodie ...
bleach can i just bolt it in and get better brakeing ..or will i have to mod other things to make it work

...after a good cleaning and some tuneing ... i would say that she is fixed...she didnt shut off all day ...started good, lots of power no wierd sounds ...i wish i new what the cause of this problem realy was ....i think it may have been a few things ...not sure how many but something none the less.....iam really stoked on the clean burning tail pipe ..i hated stepping into it and seeing a bunch black smoke come out ..now there is little to none that comes out when stomping down on her

Congratulations! Unfortunately, the next time this happens to someone, we won't have any idea how to fix it without randomly replacing everything and cleaning every stinkin' electrical connection and ground!

The next time this happens to someone, please only replace one thing at a time so we can narrow down the specific problem...

You wanna put that old IM back in and see if it stalls?
