strut your stuff ..cheaper
I didnt like the strut bar offerd at motor sports $169.95 is two much ... well i went to napa and they had these APC strut bars for $34.95 ....the guy let me take it out and see if it matched up it was really close ...i thought if i drilled it out it mite work... well i took a chance and it payed off.. i had to drill two holes in it and cut a small peace of the cover so the bracket would fit ..but it fits right @ tight. If i pull or tug on it it will shake the whole car it locked down every well.. but iam going to make two pieces of metal and make a bracket for the top two bolts , just to lock it down that much more .. The best part about this is i will still be able to use my stock top covers .tomarrow i will cut a little chunk out of each them and they should lock down all nice ..i ran out of light so i will finsh the covers and other stuff and post a finshed pic tomarrow

Come on guys APC? You should be ashamed. And those strut bars from MSA are Cusco. They are a very reputable company, especially in Japan which says a lot about them. Not all strut bars are made equal. Cheaper strut bars (like APC's) are known to bend and flex alot, and even break under load, and don't do your car too much good compared to a quality one, like the Cusco's. If you just want the "look" then go for the APC, otherwise save up the dough and get the cusco's. Besides, if $169 is too expensive, is handling really that important?
I will say good job on the fabbing though red. If you ever do want to upgrade, you're only out $35.

i know that apc is not the best company but i just didnt like the look of the Cusco bar.. i just got rid of all the blue stuff on my car and wasnt going to put more back on also i want something a little diff from everyone and this way if your a backyard z fixer upper you will be able to afford it to
i think this adds more than "just the look" if you pull or tug on the bar you can feel the whole car move it will add extra support mabe not as much as the Cusco, but it is a cheeper way to go...with out trying to hack it all apart
the part # is 652001
it says: for 92-00 honda civic
92-00 acura interga
aluminum sturt bar tower,front
this will not fit on the front and it will have to be FULLY
exstended to make FIT it ON the back..

i finshed it up here asap this moring it's raining and cold here ...well i think it went well she's all locked down and you can shake the crap out of it and it moves the car.NO BAR WIGGLE ONLY CAR WIGGLE.. i need springs and struts...i orderd a msa front and rear clip.. today i should have some picks posted of the new body style this weeked if all goes well .This wasnt eazy cutting the plastic it takes time and haveing a little model saw helps alot... it will also take alot of time to drill the strut bar bracket i had a hand drill and new bits and it still sucked... but all in all if you take your time it should fit just like it the pics i have posted .this is a cheaper way to go but it will give you more stablity

I had my front bar powder coated red to match the black/red theme and the rear bar coated black (black and red color scheme) to match the six point roll cage I put in.
Even though I used powder coating, you can use any decent automotive paint to make it whatever color you want! Don't limit yourself by what you can get from the factory.
Red, I was hoping you were going to make a complete new bracket, not just bolt down a strap over the end of the one you put on.
Do you have access to a welder and drill press? If it were me, I would take an 1/8 inch piece of steel and make a new bracket with the holes spaced for your rear shock tower mount and weld the APC bracket onto the mount plate. That way, the bar would be mounted to all three bolts on the shock tower.
Otherwise, good job. Even though APC is usually pretty cheap, any little bit will add to improving the handling.
Cheers,

This idea went thought my head as i was doing this but i dont have a welder or a drill press ....i have a car port and hand tools .... If i had the tools i would make a better bracket

I still can't believe you only paid what you did for that thing. The steering wheel that is. Now there's a thought, A Bride steering wheel and a APC strut bar. Hmm...interesting combination. I guess the steering wheel makes up for the bar. Still think you did a good job making it fit though.

When you get older and get a little more $$ under your belt, get a nice Miller Matic 175 or 210.
While you're there you should get an auto darkening welding helmet as well.

I never could figure out how they expect you to hold that hand held piece of crap while you're trying to weld.

Bride, Recaro, now you're talking. Veilside's also got a new lightweight adjustable seat out. And don't forget about the ever mighty(and very expensive) Cobra. Them's some of the lightest seats you can get, adjustable or fixed back. If it's looks you want, then those APC's do the trick. They do look good. . How much would you say those suckers weigh red? If their light, then that's a cheap alternative to paying $1000 a seat. Cobra's got a seat that only weighs like 13 pounds or something like that. But all in all, good find.
PS. the blue is hardly noticable
