This sucks!!!

So I finally broke down and went to the doctors about my finger. Swelling has not gone down nor has the pain stopped. So I went yesterday and I get my x ray back and I didn't have a normal break. The bone in my finger pretty much split in half....vertically. The break also goes through my joint. I have to see a specialist to most likely have surgery. My hand is unusable. The part that sucks is I can't change the oil in my car for the first time :'( I have to have some stranger do it. I think I'm gonna throw up. Anyone have any similar stories?

Bunch of morons. I can't believe they didn't check it in the first place.

In October I hit my own left thumb with a sledge at work. (I'm a mechanic). By December I returned to light shop duties and it still doesn't work correctly. I didn't even break it but the soft tissue damage was horrible. I blew a split down my thumb about inch and a half long. Doctor had to tuck all the insides back in before stitching it

VERY easy to sue for a misdiagnosis. Especially with all the complications that could have emerged.

I'll change your oil for you

^^^ I've worked in the health insurance / audit industry for 10 years... suing for malpractice is almost impossible these days. But if you throw a big enough fit, they might write-off the bill.

Standard of care requires an xray. Basic medicine and basic law. Easy lawsuit but the lawyer will want 10,000 retainer to file intent and then file suit

Its no big deal. I'm happy because I am on some good pain medication and I can't feel a thing people even the doctors are human and can still make mistakes but I still want to work on my car. 1 question about my intake. If I make a custom cold air intake and put it where my stock air box is do I still have to worry about water being sucked up in that spot?

Just going by thought process I would say only if you go through some DEEP puddles. I've had cold air intakes on other cars that go all the way down to the lowest spot on the bumper (and these were very low cars) and never had a single problem with it.

All right thank you. I didn't know if that would be a good spot or not. Has anyone fabricated a box for it using the stock box ie the bottom of it?

Or do it the easy/cheap way - 3" outlet cone filter and IIRC 15" of 3" pipe...
