Tachometer wiring? Turbo swap
Okay before you say search I've tried searching several times. Hybridz, Zdriver, even some Australian sites cant find it what im looking for.
I just swapped in a 83 L28ET into my 1980 280zx 10th anniversary and for the life of me I cannot get the tach to work. I was under the impression the blue wire connected to the negative side of the coil need to be connected as it goes to the tach. Along with the resistor on the beside the coil.
I have tried looking at the FSM and a Clymer to find the factory wire to manually connect the tach up. However no luck at that either.
I was just curious if anyone knows what to hook up or what wires to look for under the dash to hook the tach up?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

It's the blue wire off the coil negative. There should also be a connection to tap in right by the ecu.

Blue or black... I can't remember on the n/a, but you can find out really quick by clicking on that link, studying the pic I posted, and downloading your year FSM from www.xenons130.com/reference
