Tail of the Dragon Speed & Excitement
www.tail of the dragon deals gapHi to all you ladies & gents here: Just wanted to share a little speed and excitement for u all. I live in N. Carolina and since i got my 83 280zx turbo I was wondering if any one heard of Tail of the Dragon at Deals gap in N Carolina, 318 curves on a mountain road for 11 miles which you can't get out of 3rd gear and sometimes only 2nd. Got mine z car about a month ago which her name is zzzZlious to see how she handle in the curves. This is the best place to come to for endurances for your car. Not only the curves to contend with but the elevation at 5500 to 6000 and all that is hold you to the road is your experience and the small little guard rails if u want to call them that. Be a great place to have a cruise in if all could get together and and run the course.contantly well travel road for the speeders here in NC.I was just wondering if anyone has been there.

theres actually an anual meet there and a cruise through the dragon is an optional part of the meet. Show is held in NC, but I cant remember what it was called. I tried to go to this past one but couldn't make it.

Zdayz !
The annual event is called ZDAYZ! I went this year, but my Z wasn't ready, so i had to drive my ISUZU Rodeo on the tail of the dragon, just to see what it was like. While we were there 2 Z's went off the edge and one motorcycle, but no deaths. I went with my wife to check it out for us and two other Z drivers for next year. It is held in May on Friday - Sunday. Had a lot of fun, saw a lot of good looking Z's and got to ride the TAIL. You can find out more on zdayzevents.com. Hope to see you there next year !

I went to ZDayZ this past year as well, and put my 280 in the carshow. Though, i was a little disappointed with the s130 turnout. There was only about 6 280zx's there this year and only 4 the year before. I live on the TN/NC border so it is about an hour drive for me to get to The Dragon. The next ZdayZ is probably gonna be around May 20th, 2007. We need to get some more s130's up there so we can show some of the 350Z's that old skool is just as good

hey--old school IS beter--i have z31's because i am rarely in the right place atr the right time to pick up older z's for good prices or less. but i think the 350's look weird. too much bubble butt. all the sporty type cars look the same, so it's difficult to tell which bubble butt is which!!?

ZDAYZ 2007 - May 18-20
ZDAYZ is May 18 - 20,2007. You can go to www.zdayz.com for more info. I am hoping to go this year with my car. Last year it was not finished, but this year it is, so i really want to go. The only problem is i started a new job (which is better than NO job), but i cant get off early Friday and it is about 6-7 hours one way. My Z has never been more than 4 hours from home, so we will see. Hope a lot of you show up and post your ZDRIVER stickers, so we will know who is who.
