tail lights, to smoke or not to smoke? WITH PICS!

alright i was going to change out my cracked tail light lens (finally found a good one) but i was thinkin if i should smoke em or just put some clear on them because the one i got and the one on my care are pretty oxidized.

heres what i am lookin at...

the replacment lens, give you the idea of which type of tail light:

the back of the car:

the rest of everything:

to give you an idea of whats going to happen is the chrome on the front bumper dosent shine very well any more and the new rear i got is pretty much the same so i was thinking of taking the chrome cover off, prime, fill and paint the metal bumper underneath and then painting the plastic cap.

what would go best with the tail lights when i paint the bumper?
black bumper and orange/coppery plastic cap or orange/coppery bumper and black painted plastic cap?

if i smoke the tails according to the rest of the color on the car i am worried about the brightness of the lights them selves, how can i keep them pretty bright? polish the metal reflectors?

u know we but heads when it comes to the bumpers i say black um out so there not noticable. do what the customer thinks looks best, wait thats u, what do u think looks best 4 bumpers, as for the lights put three votes down to black them out and as for visability, ill search but i think u can order brighter bulbs that are a few watts brighter (correct me if im wrong)

whats with the nostalga part?

i guess none of the others are going to be smoked so why should the tails.
i'll just hit em up with some clear then, the red is a little oxidized

what about the bumps?
body color base black trim or body color trim black base?

and and we dont but heads about bumpers, i just dont like the type 3, not a huge fan of the type 2 front either.

With that fresh classic bronze paint, I'd leave them as is.

SEXY Z BRO, LOOKS GOOD, clean too,
dont get mad for me not sourcing info myself but will ur hood fit my 83 N/A????? if so im doin hood swap, long trip to oregon but i got your plate # so im stealling your hood just alot of gas and 6 12mm bolts right lol jk, mine if messed up. your bumper looks so much better than mine but i still cant get over that molded bumper guards, thats what i hate about stock bumpers, 83 is so much worse looking, (i dont know years) whatever my bumper came on lol
btw whats with the windshield wiper in the up positon? is that stock on your year broken or custom?
once again props on a good looking z bro

its a corss between custom and broken, it kinda works and it kinda doesent but it was broken because alot of heavy wet snow slid down the back of the car when it wasnt on and i figured, why have it stop at the bottom and potentally get broken when you can have it at the top.

i havent fully fixed it yet, when i turn it on it wants to spin in a circle instead of stopping and comming back

i just saw this, its not fresh paint, unless your refering to "funky fresh" then....yes, yes it is.

its hella chipped up in the front although not as bad as my maxima was and if you look closely you'll see the paint gobs of the previous owner trying to coer them up with a dime size area of un matching touch up paint because he used the paint he had mixed with out any reducer or hardners.

guy was a ****in moron, i am supprised the car runs as well as it does and doesent have more issues.
