Time
I got my Z a couple of months ago, and it seems like there is always something to either fix or make better. I was just wondering if other people have the same experiences. Don't get me wrong, I love my car, but it just seems to be never ending, and I can only imagine what it will be like as she gets older.

hehe yuppers with older cars something ALWAYS goes...i still think of it as RESTORING so people dont think it breaks down all the time :P heheh. i need to fix an oil leak, rear diff bushing, replace the brake lines, and U-joints on the driveshafts
but see when you look at it its all wear and tear...

If you love your car then make payments on it. A $450.00 a month payment would go a long ways in keeping your car going right? I'm sure you don't spend that much every month on it every month, but if you had a new car it would cost you that plus more insurance and taxes. So take the repairs with a grain of salt and be happy

Even $100 a month should be plenty for most repairs. You don't need to fix some major every month.

And I do love my Z, I cant wait till I get all the mechanical stuff done so I can start to make her pretty.

Dont get me wrong guys I don't have $450.00 to throw at a Z every month, thats why I throw it at a Pathfinder What i was saying was if you don't have to support multiple vehicles like I do you can justify fixing your older car.
I'm with you Bleech, If I had $100.00 to split between my 7 cars every month I'd be happy. However I could sell some and have the money, I don't think I'd be as happy So the moral of the story is don't worry about the money spent, worry about your happiness you get from that money. Who is it that says" If I didn't have a Z i'd have money, but if I had money i'd have a Z" This is true to any automobile no matter what kind, type or size. So take it with a grain of salt and be happy!!!!!!

When did this become about money. I started talking about time spent under the hood or whole car. And no one was complaining I was just stating that out of my 4 cars, I spend more time on the Z than any other car I own.

Ohhhhh thats a whole different subject then, Yes you will spend a whole lot of time with your Z. You must own some good cars (NON GM) So thats why you have to spend time with the Z. I do have to say one thing though, people can say all day long" I'd rather work on a Ford or Chevy". But the older domestic cars and trucks have stumped me more than any Z ever has. I think its just train of though Any way L V Z keep her close and she will love you forever!
