Tranny crap. Word-o-the day?

So when I pulled my L28ET out last september I didnt think I would fall back in love with it. So I had it outside, and didnt cover it up one day before it rained, and I didnt have the shifter cover on, so water got inside.

tl;dr I tipped the tranny on end and a bunch of tranny oil came out, no water tho. Now, my question, is it possible to take the tranny apart, without having things spring out? I know its all gears inside... I just want to make sure **** isnt rusted inside, would be no bueno.

Nope, things dont spring out. You gotta whack it with a hammer though, after taking out all 8 of those bolts, assuming your transmission is similar to mine. Jsut make sure you put everything back EXACTLY or youll ruin a perfectly good transmission

But of course, Im sure someone here knows an easier way to separate the rear housing and the adapter plate
