Wait, what is worthless and unnecessary?

Just that vacuum line, or that entire canister?

What do I do with the three vacuum tubes that lead away from it?

Looks like I have another part to throw into my box labeled "280zx vestigial parts", alongside that cooling fan that blows air over the fuel rail.

you plug the ports that the vac tubes come from on the intake manifold. plug plug plug away! aint rocket science. plug anything and everything from it.

It looked like it plugged in somewhere just past the AFM.

It just runs into the intake tube most likely where it get's a small amount of vacuum. Plug the hole.
There is no "need" for smog crap...
Unless you need to pass an emissions test.

So the CHTS came in the mail the other day, I installed and and the car started right up. Unfortunately I could not take it for a drive since immediately the fuel pressure regulator started leaking a lot of fuel. So once again I'm stuck waiting for another part in the mail.
