Using the SEARCH toolbar for past topics

I just wanted to let everyone (that hasn't yet noticed) know, that you can search for past topics & tech questions, by using the SEARCH bar to the top right of each ZDriver page. If you aren't sure your question has already been asked, or if you are looking for past threads & topics... this tool is very useful! By searching for past threads, we can all find info easier & without re-typing lots of previously covered material. Thanks for your time! I have posted a pic of what the toolbar looks like... Forgive me on the crudeness of the pic, as I made it @ work w/ MS paint.

searching helps, but don't turn into a dick like some of the people on Zcar.com

naw... I'm not trying to be a dick, but it seems like a lot of the newer people don't use (maybe just don't know about?) the search bar.

I totally understand that, and I agree, just don't want to see our beloved ZDriver.com become another Zcar.com...I'm ashamed to be on zcar....

Ya gotta stand up to those guys on Hybridz. They back down. I searched on there, found nothing, posted a new specific topic and they blasted me with that stupid "search for it!" thing. I shot 'em down. ya baby!

Then the topic actually developed into some useful information.

I've noticed that especially with 300ZXClub.com. I'd search and not find a good answer and then they'd get mad at you and say you didn't search. It was funny the one time I searched and couldn't find anything helpful on doing the timing belt in the Z31, they yelled at me for searching then later came back and said they couldn't find it in the search either.

Hopefully I didn't offend anyone by posting this thread... I just noticed a lot of the same questions being asked over & over. We're always willing to help out, but in some cases (maybe in the lull of the day) it might be quicker to search for the answer, rather than wait for someone to read the post. how about Beer-E-O's...god what people eat when they get drunk...

Bleach is right too...some guy flamed out on a person...so i told him to relax....you dont see teacher troughout school saying...SEARCH THE TEXTBOOK FOR ANSWERS ...and then sit there whole class. (if you can understand what im getting at)

i dont get why people flame....these forums are meant for Questions/Replies....and of course **** is gonna repeat itself...but thats how it is...

search is pretty much good if you want a generalised answer quick ...but sometimes stuff pops up that has nothing to do with what you are searching...

see it as something else...sombody coming here and asking for OUR advice and then trusting that information to be put to good use...i mean dont you guys feel good when you help sombody and then it all works out and everyone is happy...?? i sure as hell do.. especially when its another Z (and thats all there is here so lets not be mean down the road you might need help too )

ok back to garage now!

Its also good if you find a simular thread that maybe hasn't touched on exactly your issue. Post your question in the thread to continue the discussion. Then all the related information will be in one place.
as an example you might have quesitons about 5-lug swap on the 280ZX, and then further down people ask about the 300ZX brake upgrades, ect.

point being, ZDriver is a GREAT community! There are NO ******** here. the day WildmAn gets on ya about searching a topic will be the end of ZDriver! I don't mind seeing the same topic a few times! Because everyone knows that when RodMoyes gets ahold of it, it's going to completely go in the oposite direction, and not even be about Zcars! It'll end up talking about hammer head sharks and coffee!!!

Dude, That is so wrong. Hammerheads don't drink coffee! Only South American Pacific Blue tip Thresher Sharks drink coffee. Lame-O!

Rod.
