valve cover

i want to get a poslish valve cover for my car before MSA.. does anybody have any that tehy can sell me? or and extra one, and get it poslish?!?!?

how much would it cost to get one poslish?? do you think? about?

it should cost too much, just get a dremel and their polishing kit. Put it a good metal cleaner and light sanding to smooth it out.

IMO, why dont you just get another valve cover and paint it with a nice wrinkle finish. Looks nice, and easy to maintain. If you did a polished cover, you'd probably have to constanly maintain it.

Look in the Lounge section, engine clips thread, page 5 or 6? On there is a pic of my valve cover.

i did paint my valve cover, but i just wanted one just to see how it is.. hahaha, i panited mines black w/ a flat finish to it... but yea..

I polished mine, best bet is a bench grinder with a flapper wheel, and yeah, you gotta maintain or they dont look splendidly polished, observe. Besides it takes hours, I'm gonna powder coat next time.

They are all over ebay for 70 to 100USD expensive i would just use a saturday to do it myself !

I wonder why someone hasn't tried getting an aftermarket cover stamped out? It'd be a lot easier, probably cheaper, and it's be better in the long run as it would dissapate heat better.

there is the carbon fiber cover from msa! id just paint it. i used wheel paint for mine, got some sparkle and good with the heat.

I see no Carbon Fiber Valve Cover on MSA...They mention it in the add for the polished oil cap, but it's not in any of the lists. Either way it's probably expensive as all hell.
