Washed off motor, now it bogs

I thought I would try cleaning the motor in my 82 280zxturbo. I didn't cover anything. I let it dry about 5 hours and took it for a drive. It started right up and backed out of my driveway fine. When I tried to accelerate it bogs down then picks up, bogs, picks up.....you get the picture. I'm hoping it drives ok after sitting over night. Anybody know what part I may have gotten wet so I know to mask it off next time? I hope I didn't ruin anything.

easy answere

Your TPS (Throttle Position Switch) is full of water, or actually the connector is, the way the TPS sits, it can fill with water and short the works out, also water can get in the distributor, pop the top and dry it out. Happened to me when I power washed my car, would barely drive, or even cross the road to get it off the road.

Thanks PredatorZ. I just got the car and am trying to figure out where the sensors are located. I guess it dried out since the car runs fine now. Is there a picture of the sensor locations like the Buick Grand National has at this link? 86-87 Turbo 3.8 Liter Engine Sensors

Not exactly

Close, the fsm has several spots it covers sensors and locations, xenon has a free down load, and on the adjoining pages all kinds of helpful info and trouble shooting on the most common issues.
