weight

Of course all that will add extra weight! Switching to a manual rack will save a lot of weight since you have the cruddy recirculating ball type steering. You'll have to end up swapping out the front crossmember to do it though.
AC adds a lot of weight too...mostly in the compressor.....those old ones are huge! Then you have the weight of the lines, condensor and evaporator too.
As for power windows its probably close enough to a wash with manual windows to not even bother trying to swap it. Unless you are serious about trying to race the car and then you could get into how many onces you save by getting rid of the wiring for the power windows too....
If you swap out the steering and loose the AC system I believe you could easily drop 100lbs off.

2980 for the 2-seater with all the luxurys.
3100 for the 2+2 (still lighter than a Z31, Z32, Z33)
I believe the 2800 is also with a hard top. T-tops add weight. Strangely, modern day 4-door cars can weigh this much too or even a little less.
turbo? I'm not sure if they weight more or not. The T5 tranny is very light!

weighed my 1977 280Z and its at 2600 on the dot. 1289 lbs up front and 1311 out back with complete interior, one race seat(15lbs) and one stock seat, L28et and stock 280a tranny with big 16 inch tires. with me in the car its almost 2800 lbs and has cross weight of 51% and rear weight bias of 51%...too sweet for not even trying! I'd still like to shed a lot of pounds out of my unsprung weight...anyone ever carried the whole strut, spindle, control arm together....jeeeez thats heavy compared to new stuff!
