this wensday 10/26/05 i go down to meps to sighn the papers that give my life to the US army. i gata get up at 3 b at the ofice at 4 and meps at 5. and then they get to poke n prod me with things. for my physical. im not too excited about that, but. this is closer to me getting my education, job and expierance. and mose important, the money to make my Z my dream car !!

 

It is good to see your going to be defending our country, good luck. If I was old enough I would seriously think about doing it myself.

yeah and actually i just learned yesterday that i start gettin paid asap. which i knew that but wat i didnt know is they directly wire my months payemnts to my bank account, therefor i dont have to deal with checks n bs.. so since ill b busy with basic and AIT for about a y ear thats 18k ill have saved up. not to mention my like 12k sighning bonus so all thats goin to my Z

I went to meps this summer and enlisted into the Marine Corps. I ship out for basic June 19th after I graduate and go on vacation. I will be a combat vehicle repair mechanic. Unfortunately I don't get paid till either during boot camp or after. I'll save you the lecture thermal wake of going to the army instead of the Marines but congrats.
