Guys, if I could leave my house I would definitely be there. Thats all it is. I'm close enough to drive out each day and probably only use a tank of gas (in the Neon) for two days worth of driving. So it wouldn't hardly cost me anything to go. It's just this damn ankle bracelet.

Yeah, I remember that, since I was in their caravan too. Though the reason why we took so long was because we were waiting on a last portion of the group to show up at a meeting spot.

 

Ok, so I plan to be arriving in the Sacromento and/or Bay area Thursday evening... hopefully not too late.

Is there a meet planned yet or are we just going to do the caravan down 101 Friday morning?

I didn't get a definate response on anyone wanting me to stay with them in that area so I will plan to just get a hotel that night. (unless I hear otherwise) I'm gonna need a good nights rest that night after my 14 hr drive... no sleeping in the car in the corner of a parking lot.

Then we meet at ZCG Friday morning...

 

Im trying to organize a meet for thursday evening but only a few people have gotten back to me so far. It'll be at the local In'n Out in the even sometime. What time are you expecting to make it to the bay?

The In'N Out is really close to the Oakland airport so there are lots of hotels if you dont end up crashing with someone.

Alright, so I succesfully swapped in the 3.54 rear in my 280ZX. I replaced the rear brake hoses and bled the brakes... also replaced the parking brake cable.
...at the same time yesturday my truck was stolen during the middle of the day right out of my driveway! This is horrible not only because I've been restoring that truck for 5 years but now I don't have alternate transportation to do any major work on my daily driver Z.

Everything from here on out has to be an evening project only which pretty much rules out my turbo swap ever happening if the truck is never recovered or is undrivable when recovered. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm not planning anything major before my trip, so the CA drive is still going to happen. anyway... back out to the garage I go

 

Awe man! I'm sorry dude. That is one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope it gets recovered and isn't trashed. Glad to hear it didn't sway you from coming to MSA though. try not to get too discouraged. It'll probably turn up somewhere. It's also good to hear you're making good progress on the ZX. Keep your chin up.

why would they steal the truck? there tonnes of just as easily stolen vehicles, why bleach why. that sucks. thats why i took off my cold start stuff. the car wont barely even startup now, try stealing that. hope you get it back dude.
