What did you use for an Air Duct?

My part's Just came in Saterday. Been Waiting since May25th for them. Now they installed with out a Problem. No gas leaks or nothin. Pressure got built up to 40 PSI. The spacer only came with three bolts. But no worryes. I am just glad I finaly got the part's. For the 240SX T/B what did you use as a air duct? And i am having a fre problems trying to set up a linkage useing the stock stuff. any tips on that would help. Here's two pic's!

find the AFM to turbo stock hose from a turbo car. Use part of it. Cut it. It is a larger dimeter and has ports for your valve cover vent... oh wait...

if you dont' need any hoses to plug into it, then just use a 45 deg plastic pipe bend and two couplers.

fubar, you should do a little mini report on your car. List everything you've checked including your results. The parts you've already replaced, etc... Post it up and lets see if we can't all feed you some fresh idea's on what the hell is wrong with that thing. I think you're setting the record for longest non-running Z (where the owner has actually made an attempt to get it running). I would've gone insane being in your position this long. You've been a member for over a year now and haven't gotten to enjoy your Z. I'm about ready to come out there to MS and help you out myself

Report: Cleaned out Carbon build up in head. Fresh oil change filter, and stp treatment. Trany fluid. fuel filter. Fuel lines. Fuel rail. T/B. Alternator. spark plugs, spark plug wires. Soaked injector's in a Gas/injector cleaner bath for 2 day's, shakin gently every 30-1 hour, and changed gas/injector cleaner mix 4 times. Replaced leaky injector(Thanks Shady). Used but good fuel pump. droped gas tank and cleaned. swaped dizzy, ign box, computer, cap, rotor buttion, and coil. Last summer i was able to get car to run off of Primeing it for 3 min. This week i was able to make it run for only about 10 sec off of starter fluid. Seems 10 PSI is all i can get the fuel lines up to. Swaped out pressure regulator. Cleaned all grounds. Flushed cooling system. I'll think of more a lil later

You might try running a length of fuel line from the fuel pump straight to the fuel filter and see if that helps any. The damper could be plugged up or you could have a kinked or plugged line somewhere along the way.

Also make sure you have your fuel line routing is correct going to the rail

she's got plenty of fuel. take a line off while the pump is on. and you got a 10 foor gyser. and the lines are installed correctly.

If you've got fuel then your fuel pressure should be above 10psi unless you've got a bad regulator. Are you still using the original regulator?

Go down to your local auto-glass vendor and ask them if they have it.

I had the glass broken on my driver side and I got a new glass insert for about $12.

I don't know if they will have the one with the Blue tint color to it though. So far My Z(so i have seen in persion) is the only one i have found with blue colord mirror glass.

You are correct. They will not have the blue tint glass. But some glass is better than no glass...

That must have happened on my turbo then. I noticed that it had a blue tint to the passenger side mirror and the driver's side is regular. I couldn't figure it out.

did you spray some starting fluid in there yet? Maybe your fue pressure regulator is not holding any pressure so that's why you get only one stutter and then no more firing.

Take those spark plugs out now and see what they look like. Wet with fuel or dry?

he's getting 37-40psi. definitely sounds like a fuel issue though cause you can hear it tring to start.

he told me he went #1 and he went clockwise on the dizzy...check haynes mine says counterclockwise...maybe its a canadian thing! so maybe its trying to fire on that #1 and thats why it sounds like its trying to start...i dunno try it either way it takes less then messing with fuel.
