Thumbs down What manufacture has the best after market exhaust note?

I bought a monza exhaust but now im not to fond of the tune that it plays. Who here has a good sound post it so I can hear it. I now want another tune. If you like the way your 280 sounds let me know by posting a clip of it idleing and a good strong rev.

i got a half 2.5 and half 3 inch down pipe with a 3 inch pipe all the way back with a at least good manufacturer's fart can muffler. sounds amazing though and its not THAT loud honestly. but thats my turbo motor. on my 280Z ill have the MSA 6-2 header on with a twice pipes by MSA exhaust. i however dont have the header yet sigh..... but makind your own exhaust seems to produce the best sound ive noticed.

Much of teh exhaust note comes from the carbs/fi system as well. Thats why injected and carbd z's sound so different.

well... sorta ^^^^ its more like carb's will make noise just like ITB's do and a normal FI system you might get some suction noise but the plumbing is so long on them its not likely. thats why honda's make so much damn intake noise. they use MAP's so they can put on the shortest damn intake known to man and you get that V-tec sound on the intake. which is the only noise i like from a honda. the intake noise when V-tec kicks in.

if you like noise then just the header will give you that. but i like a good sound. what do STI's use? i like their exhaust tone.

If you have a turbo motor, you will have a turbo sounding exhaust... if you have an n/a motor, you will have an n/a sounding exhaust (STI's are turbocharged). If you want a turbo sounding exhaust for your n/a, I think you can get a P.A. speaker on ebay programmed to sound like a turbo. Super ricey.

nismo he meant the STI boxer motor sound. not the turbo. that horixontally opposed 4 banger makes a VERY nice noise. ill post some sound clips of what i mean.

sound with just DP and exhaust:

&

these are what they sound like once you have turbo headers on them :

unless you appreciate good video editing skip to about 3 mins in the vid to hear and watch.
