Hi guys. Looking at this canister in the engine bay and the connected two smaller components, trying to figure out what it is. Appears to maybe be a vacuum canister that has a cable running to the throttle linkage. I'm assuming something to do with emissions? This is on our Lemons race car so trying to dump anything which isn't necessary (hence the weird wiring coming off the battery to the kill switch in the cabin.) Can I yank all this stuff with no issue?

i had mine of for a while because mine had broke but u have to plug the vaccum lines and the fuel evap line too .....mine idled kinda funny after tho but it wasnt bad

 

ohhh nevermind i thought u meant the Evap canister....thats for the cruise control u dont need it

That's for your cruise control, you don't need it if you don't intend to use cruise in the race

My car doesn't have it anymore and runs fine. Just plug the lines that go to it obviously so you don't have a vacuum leak.
