July 12th it is and although it's a lame show, there's not much rice on there. At least not much that actually wins or even performs.

Loosely related to the topic, I drove one of 455 BMW M1's to my Senior Prom.

It was owned by a family friend that owns a Nissan dealership and he gave me the keys for the weekend.

That was a freakin' blast. So, I'm not sure how that ties in, but it was owned by the owner of a Datsun/Nissan dealership, I drove it and I bought a 280ZX from him when I turned 16.

Here's what it looked like (except without the batman wing):

Maybe that's why I like white cars so much... hmmm...

On the 225/45/16 street tires, yes, with the 245/45/16 Hoosier's no.

Although, with the new rear-end, I don't know. With the 3.90 gears and street tires it was pretty entertaining.

Now it has taller gears, so it may make that a little harder, it's got more power now so that may make up the difference, but I haven't driven it with the new diff yet so we'll have to wait and see...

Thanks, but you can achieve great things with the right people, copious amounts of cash, a complete disregard for 'common sense' and a highly developed ability to keep the wife from finding out what you're doing with the kids college fund...

A guy with a Lotus Esprit 350GT liked my lawn ornaments ... I mean, 280ZX. That was back when she just sat in the driveway. -sniffles- Those were the days.

The M-1 is sweet but had so much unrecognized potential once they killed Group B racing as they were preparing to run the 1200hp M12/14 engine in it.

That would have been cool.
