kenny.
kenny.
When you get your new ecu running, we'd love to hear how it goes!

Yeppers... the JWT ecu upgrade requires an 88-89 n/a ecu & some different re-wiring than the 84-86 Z31T swap.

Well, I supplied them an '88 turbo ecu, thats why I have to do a wiring harness to ecu upgrade and a downpipe bung hole upgrade.
I can assure you that I will post the results of a killer plug and play, no hassel no drama, [I hope] upgrade of my car.
I hope you find the source of your problems.

yeah i don't no WTf. I was driving it after i swaped in the speedo from Shady, And it died, and wouldn't start. Just like one of them wires were disconnected from the ecu again. Then when it did start, and i was uping the rpm to move it, it died. So i don't no, smells hella rich again, and won't go anywhere, it did this 5 times. Oh and then after it didn't idle anymore. So next jy trip, i'm getting a new Maf, chts, and some parts for the s30...Hopefully it'll work when i'm in cali, before the swap.

yeah, were brothers....you have a problem! no why cause we have stupid problems, man that **** sucks, i think it has something to do with my spark plugs/ wires or distributor. something electrical. after i swap out the manifold, cause it has something to do with vacuum problems, then it should be fixed...

hey guys. so I am getting ready to do the Z31 swap, and I am getting the wiring ready to go and have a few questions... first go is the MAF... in the tutorial is shows that the wiring changes are:
Now, I see how all of the colored wires run in, but wires #2 and #4 are confusing me... all they say are "b" wires, and after matching up the colored wires I am left with a black wire with a blue stripe on it and then a thick gray wire, which when stripped shows a black covered wire wrapped in aluminum wiring...
which of these 2 wires goes where?
should help greatly with the swap since it isn't too clear...
CONNECTING THE MAF:
Cut the wires to the AFM a few inches back from the clip
Take clip and wire from MAF then:
1) Connect MAF Position A/wire 30 y/g to 30 y/b wire from z harness
2) Connect MAF Position B/wire 31 b to 31 y/r wire from z harness
3) Connect MAF Position C/wire black to body ground
4) Connect MAF Position D/wire 26 b to 26 b wire from z harness
5) Connect MAF Position E/wire 27/35 b/w to any ignition activated + powered wire (pin 27 and 35 are + ignition wires on the same circuit, they are b/w (black with white strip) and can be tapped into from either b/w wire going to the 2 V.C.M solenoids that are located under the AFM bracket
6) Connect MAF Position F/wire 12 r/w (for cleaning cycle) to 33 y/l wire from z harness

haha no I was being serious.... the tutorial was talking about 3 different black wires and I had no clue which was which.... but by taking the boot off I can see that they go in order down the harness... didn't even think to take it off...

hmm, i can probably borrow one, but i haven't got one myself...i got an idea, if i can get all the ****, done swaping the .et motor in the 240z. Then when msa comes up you can come down, and help with it...Then sport your zx and the z at msa...That'd be badd...I know this is off topic, but what all is needed for the turbo swap into the z. Like driveshaft is what i'm worried about?

so that means try and find someone to shorten my tranny then huh, ****. I knew that would be a bitch....the car comes with a 4 speed but i'll probably just keep it for extra....damn and this megasquirt instructions are hella confusing, damn i'm going to need some help....Well Nismo i'll give you a rolling shell for help with installing this here megasquirt.
