My alarm has mal-functioned and is going off constantly preventing me from starting it. Is there any way to dis-arm the alarm until I can get it replaced and if so how? jreynolds5138@charter.net

My hubby took the one out of the fuse box inside the car and it didn't stop it. Where would the "Theft Warning Fuse" be? The horn is still blowing and if he takes the relay out the car won't start.

You should be able to disable/turnoff the alarm with the door key either in the driver's door or by opening the hatch using the key.
I just fixed my alarm by raising the hood pin switch. I just put a couple of flat washers underneath the bracket that holds the switch.
You will know if it is working properly if when hood, trunk, and both doors are closed and locked the security light on the dash will not flash. It will stay on for about 45 seconds and then go off and then your alarm will be armed. If it is still flashing that means that there is a switch malfunctioning and the alarm thinks something is still unlocked.

my hood pin broke off its bracket (cheap #^%$ plastic) so i have the blinky security light all the time. it doesnt really bother me because a blinky light is a deterrent by itself if the thief doesnt know about the car. if i ever decide to put in an aftermarket alarm, i think i would try to locate its blinky light in the place of the bulb for the stock security light. i hate putting unnessecary holes in a car.
