I have recently been searching for a new stock bumper for my 1985 300zx turbo. I have not had any luck in finding one that is in perfect shape. Does anybody know where i can get one that is cheap and stock, but is not bent etc.. As well i have another question does anybody know what the gold colored thing is that is located in the spare wheel comparment?

 

I've heard that that gold box in the spare tire compartment is the control box for the compass but I'm not sure.

 

also could be the auto transmission computer

 

I have a front bumper for any 88,wich I guess does you no good,unless you want the hood and fenders and headlights wich I have to lolj/k

You don't need the fenders to swap on the nose. Actually, since he's asking about an 85, you REALLY don't want the fenders cause the car would look funny.

Yes I have a Digital Dash and an automatic Transmission. Since it has already been answered what should i put the setting on? There is two differnt switches that have three settings.

 

I just saw on ebay where the gold box was for sale and it is a FUEL INJECTION COMPUTER ECU

 

Then the e-bay seller is an idiot.

What do the three switches say for adjustment? That should be a big clue as to what it's for.

edit: I just found three different 3-bay auctions. You really should open your eyes and look and compare. The ECUs I see on e-bay are all actual ECUs. The thing behind your spare tire looks nothing like any of them. Are you even trying dude?

 

Ha Sorry A-Z bum i was just about to adjust the suspension in my car when i looked and turned on the key flipped a few switches and noticed it was making the compass do stuff. But before I did this i saw the N and the E and remembered what you said and then i ran inside to correct myself but you had already done this
