Dash removal

I'm trying to get the dash out of an 86.. but seem to be stuck. I've undone every bolt I can find, taken out the radio and climate controls, guages, even tried looking for bolts from outside the windshield and inside the engine compartment.

What am I missing? Help!

There are several bolts under the top dash vents.

if you want to keep those vents, pull on the tabs with a small screw driver... it will cause the clips to open. remove the speedometer, behind it are some more bolts and under the glove box are a few. and no, removing the dash is not in the hanes...I looked. thank god I had a crappy dash to practice on.

Thanks guys.

I thought I was going insane because I couldn't find it in the book! Every other car I've had had it in there.

it's amazing what happens when you actually open your eyes and look.

bit by bit, I've been helping rewire another car so the dash project went on hold. finally got back to it last night and yeah, knowing about the bolts under the vents defintly helped. I would have eventually torn them out anyway, this saved them from being broken and me from wasting anymore of my lunch breaks. She came out no problem.
