Seems to me it shouldn't be that much to simply weld in motor and tranny mounts , but I don't know anything about the V8 swaps , as its never been a consideration.

Budda sounds like maybe they reframed the front, much the same as we did to put the L98 in my brother n law's model "A". It had to be done to support the engine and to have the proper axles and steering to handle it. oh yea the tags were "KissMyA". It didn't cost that much but it was done in his shop back then, I would hate to contract it out at todays prices.

Reading between the lines, I'd say bad dog was illustrating absurdity, with absurdity. Unless it's an AE or SS, the Z31 ain't all that special. At least not special enough to get your shorts in a wad over putting a v8, or whatever, in one. Yes, i would say he was pushing the edge with the POS discription, but, I got the point.

 

Can you guys just drop this flame war. This one has no point and it will never have an end because it is a matter of personal opinion and opinions are not going to change. And last time I checked calling someone a redneck didn't mean that you were a racist. This is more of a sectional hate not a race hate. I for one will apologize for the "supremist" remark, I think what "Dr. Budda" is doing is cool it'll be a one of a kind machine and it belongs to him. Just to throw more gasoline on the fire,....85 wasn't stating an opinion. He was saying that everyone who thought that putting a SBC in a Z31 was wrong. By him resorting to childish name calling and threats over the internet is further proof as to why we'll be better off without him. Everyone else here feels that you can do what you want to your car and nobody should tell you it's crap. We may disagree with what you're doing, but we won't say it's wrong. 85 and I have butted heads before, but we got past it. James, you and I have done the same, but we're over it. What he was doing in here was just plain wrong and we're better off without him. He reminds me of Nismo LMR and IZWUTUMEAN; who have left this site because of similar ignorance issues. It seemed that many of his posts wound up being derogatory and flaming. There's no need for it.

All other things aside , I don't care for the paint job. I think it could have been done better. Reversing the paint scheme would have been better. Red flames.

 

but if you think about it when you see flames on cars they are almost always red. i dont want to be the same as every one i wanted to be diffrent and just strait black flames is not normal at all i like it. and lots of pepole that see it say the same. i can respect you opion about the color scem but it is not going to chang.i am going to try to poast in the galary me new dash i made right now
