headlight hid question

headlight hid question

what light bulbs does my 1987 300zx use they seem really dim. I think ill switch over to hids has this been done?

Your housings are not designed for HID bulbs, so putting them in will not work right. The light won't be directed properly and you're liable to blind oncoming traffic or people you get behind. Don't be that guy.

well ya id need projectior housings in the lights

I don't blind people with mine... you can buy a retrofit h4 conversion housing in eBay... Projector or non projector... I believe your high beams are a separate bulb... Than buy a hid kit it's rather inexpensive I set my truck up for like $60.. You have two options for housing as far as the lens goes.. The plastic ones I bought were about $25.. Glass cost a little bit more.. To me well worthwhile it to convert. They look good and way brighter

You have an 84. Completely different headlight from the 87-89 models. No. You can't buy a retrofit replacement housing for that year.
