klearz.com clear tails.... 84-86

Is there still enough interest in these?

http://klearz.com/zcar.html#13

I recently sent an e-mail to them asking about their status and received this reply:
Hey there,
We need to re evaluate and see if these will really sell. We are pretty busy
and for this product we need to make 6 new molds, thats alot of work. We
need to make sure we going to sell atleast 20 sets. We are currently working
on a few really popular products.

These are not the cheap crappy ones that clearcorners.com sells. These are made from molds taken of cleaned up (DOT numbers removed) original tail light pieces. These will fit exactly like originals.

If you are interested, let them know. If this ever does actually happen, and there is enough interest, I have a full set of side marker and turn signals for all years (and 87-89 tails) for them to duplicate.

After you e-mail them, reply here to see if we have enough interest.

id be interested, but do you have to use a whole different tail light unit, I mean you cant just make like the turn signal clear or do you have to replace the whole light thing.

All of the pieces are individual. You pull out whichever section you want and replace it. That's why they are listing them individually.

The nice thing about that is.... The whole taillight assembly is one piece. Since they aren't making the upper half (at least, not yet), you can claim the upper half still has the numbers and there is no issue with them. It might work for some cops. The difficult part will be figuring out where to make a reflector since that is also part of the lower section.

Oh thats cool, I just looked at my extra pair for lights in my house and saw the screws on the back and looked closely and saw that they are individual pieces. Id probaly just do clear turn signals, not to big on how the whole bottum cleared out looks. but id like clear turn signals front and back.

Hopefully these will start production early summer.
