lights on, headlights down

ive seen a few z31s that have their headlights on while they are down and i would love to know how to do this. i saw one website that explained it but i cant remember which one it was. i think it said something about just having to disconnect one wire or something. it sounded easy and looks AWESOME. also, are there any problems like heat or anything from doing this?

thanks

go under the steering wheel and take off that big plastic piece, there should be 3 screws holdin it up. Then look around under the right side of the wheel and there should be a black and purple I believe, connection ( it's like, 2x1in and pretty thin) and you just disconnect it uhh, carefully, then, put the plastic cover back on and turn on the switch for the lights, they should just come on and not go up,
to put them up push the pop-up switch and they'll go right up, but they won't go down when you push the button again, you have to turn the lights off when you want them to go back down. but eh, only a small thing. they do look great don't they? and it's a simple thing to do which is why I did it to my z, (I'm really lazy) and about problems.. I haven't heard of any. heat? from what? just make sure you push the button to make them go up at night, I've forgotten a couple times..

thanks, and about the heat thing, someone said if i put in high intensity lamps it might mess up the paint or get hot and melt something if they were on and down. whatever, he thinks his pos 91 mustang can corner better than my z. HA. thanks again.

welll, if you do that, you would have to put the lights up manually wouldnt you? I'm just too lazy for that, I like pushing a button, much much easier

haha that's crazy, maybe 'ya should've done the disconnect the wire thing, lol if that ever happened to my old z I'd disconnect the battery and run to my new z, don't have to deal with pop up headlights on a '91 zx haha your z is haunted or something lol, oh yeah, flashlight in front of your car.. huh?

You guys are crazy to listen to!! LOL! Too bad you peeps don't live out here in Chicago, cause I'll bet we'd have TONS of fun driving around scaring people with out haunted Z's and sleepy-eyed Z's. Myself, I have to confess that I did the lazy-man fuse-removal thing too. Here in the bright city, who cares if I only have a pair of flashlights (and foglights) in front of the car, so long as the millions of high-intensity streetlights are burning bright throughout the whole night! If I were to take a road trip, however...
