New girl on the block

Hey guys and gals, I am new to the site. I found this site while searching for some people that live in Mississippi with Zs. I have a 1986 Nissan 300zx. I bought it about 2 months ago. This is my second one, my first was a turbo. When I bought this car I knew that it needed some minor interior work, I had no idea that parts for this car would be so hard to find!!!!! I have searched every place I know to think of, but I cannot find the few parts I need.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you guys!!

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome!! I will post pics when I get home. I am sorry if I sound like a woman here...lol I don't exactly know what you would call the part I need. My power window for my driver side is missing the button and the cover around the switches. Also, my center console is missing one of the braces, not to mention the top of it is rather in bad condition from use. I have the shades that come with the t-tops but they are dry rotted from sun exposure. So the parts I need are nothing major....just hard to find. I have scoured all the junk yards around here and they all tell me the same thing "good luck finding those..." lol

the window switches and cover should be fairly easy to attain. T-top shades can be found easily. They are $115 + shipping.

That's the fun part about being here... there are no Z's in junk yards. I hold a large quantity of Jackson's 280ZX population (yeah...right) If you need some parts for your '86. I have a white, N/A, red "LEATHER" interior, T-tops, 5speed, analog dash. Let me know if I can help... I'm in North Jackson/Ridgeland area. Can usually be found at the local waffle house or Rick's pool hall.

Hey rebelgirl2828 try ebay or z31.com classifieds for those parts. $110. for a new pair of shades isn't bad though.
Try nissanparts.cc for the best price on important OEM parts.

There's a pull a part down here has about 2-3 300's in it that no one has touched. also has a couple of Saab Turbo's. this pull a part place is off in the country. no one hardly knows about it, the ones that do are lookin for parts for a chevy or ford truck. Red necks have no use for sport's car's.
