rear interior speakers

rear interior speakers

im just still working on my z31
and im trying 2 figure out how 2 get out the rear interior speakers?
how do u do it?
is there anythign special or a certain bolt im missing
cuz i have a bad histroy of just tending 2 break somethign 2 just get 2 it

pull off the grilles and remove the screws that hold the speakers in. very, very simple. 3 screws if i remember right.

haha....whats a screw? lol yeah speakers is easy. i dont own...never have owned...a z31 but yeha get some basic tools and go to town. just dont yanbk anything and it wont break. live and learn in this case.

man snw, wrong again. you do have to yank a bit to get the grilles off. they snap in, gotta give a good tug to get them out. dont worry, the snaps are metal and should not break.

yes, pry them off. the speakers are underneath.

chiltons is crap. haynes is much better. but you really dont need a manual to figure this one out. pry the covers off, and unscrew the screws. simple.

omg is it a big deal really?--the manual?
i got a haynes for my other car
a chilton for this
my friend thinks he know's so much about cars and says chilton is better
is one better than the other or is it more a personal liking?

and disconect them from the wires... usually cut or de-solder. cutting is faster and easier, just make sure some one hasnt done this to much before and the wire is to short... these are a direct hard wire right? not plug in type like aftermarket speakers are?

hayens is better. period. i have had both. it is not a personal preference, the haynes just has more and better information.

wrong once more snw. they use spade type connectors.

another question, what size are the rear speakers, i took them out and they look liek six inches,
another is do you think there is enough space in that little area to fit a 6x9 in?

i would suggest against 6x9s. the shape of the woofer leads to a less clear sound. go with round speakers. there are 6.5s that put out plenty of sound, and if you really need more bass, a 10" sub will round it out.
