I got the sideskirts and spoiler painted the way I wanted. What do you think? Looks kind of cool with the side skirts and spoiler painted black, don't you think? I've never seen any others painted this way. They only missed one small rust spot in the right rear fender well, which will be fixed sometime after the 6th.
Some say it's better not to have splash guards. I don't care what anyone says, the worst rust was on the right rear, which was the only wheel that was missing a splash guard when I got the car. (It had some shitty aftermarket splash guards on it.) The only other rust was where paint was chipped. To me, that proves that splash guards definitely keep the paint from being chipped behind the wheels. Without them, the paint will get nicked a lot quicker and it will rust wherever there is no paint, of course. Protect the paint and the paint will protect the metal.

Hmmm, tried to upload the pics here, but I keep getting a security token error.

I updated my gallery (in my sig, or the link below), if you want to see it clean and finished. Well, there's one small hole in the RR fender well he missed, but that will be repaired as soon as I get it back to him for a day.

It's a 360 degree tour...

Mine was rusting all the way around the windshield, so they had to sand blast that too. It wasn't leaking yet, but I was thinking it may have been if I let it go another year, with the winters here. I got quite a deal. Every other place I took it to wanted $5000-7500 to do the entire thing, but I found a dude (kind of out in the country) who has his own shop at his house, and he did it for around $2000. Even the same guy won't do it again for that, though. In fact, he said that's the last complete restore he's going to do.
So, if you're really lucky, you might be able to find someone to do it cheap, but I looked for about a year and a half before I found someone who would do a good job, with good paint (PPG), for a reasonable price. A friend of mine happened to know about this guy. It was going to be closer to $2500, but he knocked off some on the price because it took over a month for him to finish it. I think it was well worth the wait. It's either fix the rust, or watch it eat the car, right? Well, it was killing me to watch it just get worse. If I'd waited longer, it would've cost even more to repair.
