ticking that's not a clock?
I hear a ticking from my dashboard when the car is running, independent of speed. It's not the turn signal, (if it was I probably couldn't tell since I've been driving with the tops off) but I hear a ticking from the dash that I never noticed before.
I have the digital dash and have replaced the power module under the steering wheel a year and a half ago which fixed all the displays. Anybody know what I'm talking about? A/C system?
It's not the odometer because I fixed that 40,000 miles ago! Got any clues, I'd appreciate them!

Ticking has something to do with my climate control system. I've lost the compressor on the A/C and removed the fan belt so it would stop wasting power on the unit. Heater works and the electronics seem responsive. The defrost setting works, the demist setting works, the recycling button seems to work. Guess I'll find out what else is busted when I replace the A/C next May!

One of the diaphragms on your climate control box could have a leak. this would cause it to open (or close) until the leak (usually a smal split in the rubber) is opened, then it snaps shut (or open) and repeats. It could also be one or more of the solenoids located above and to the right of the accelerator pedal.
