the pieces are lighter than stock? so you took the bumper off and replaced it with that? i doubt that's lighter than the bumper. really. if it is, it doesn't have any strength. there's a reason they use the plastic that they do for the bumpers. because it's light and resilient.

yess i made a new fnt & rear bumper out of styro-foam , alum foiled to release the glass, after laying only the first layer of glass i posted those pics a lot will be altered and reviewed. i dont have a garage and it started getting 2 cold 2 work on it outside. none of the parts r solid it is still foam underneath the glass wich gets removed. i always wanted to make a show car and my pratical dream car has always been the z31, so... not having money 2 work with i combined the two.

yeah..... show cars don't have all that crap on them. they get laughed out of shows. just accept this: you are one of the only very few people that like that. VERY few people. it's turning a car into a piece of art. but a car isn't meant to be art, it's meant to be functional. if you want art, put it on something stationary.

art... art is any meaningful representation of an idea or feeling. so every car is art, but thats like painting a dick in the mona lisa's mouth. lol jk, the Z31 isn't that good looking, but still....

its not everyones taste. dont take it personal. i have crap on my z that not alot of people like. owell. your car is in a rough stage. give it a little while and then see what it turns out to. dude as long as your happy with it by all means go at it. this forum is not very big so be prepared to be flamed no matter what. the glass work is not that bad. ill give you props.

also looking at your pics was wondering why you didnt just make that rear quarter panel flush? left a gap between the wheel flare and bumper. was thinking it would curves would flow better. but again its your car. also any structural reinforcement on that front bumper?one bad thing about fiberglass kit is speed bumps and bumps will destroy it pretty fast.

i know art can be anything you want it to be, but what is the best use of a car? art or function?

to me, the function is the purest of automotive art. your thinking exterior aesthetics only, art is deeper.....

her is a link to another forum of some kind where a guy decided to fab up a wide body also.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2124238

i assume that this is more what you are going for? minus the lambo doors hopefully.
but as you can see it takes more than just slapping on some glass to make a custom wide body.

Don't turn'em up too loud. You might shake your body kit off.

lol you would be the laugh of the car show forum too, a clean car with clean lines (hell stock lines for that matter) will win WAY more trophies than a fiberglassed to **** car with 5 12's in the back... thats only imho and everyone elses

rice rice baby...

have you looked in your driveway recently? maybe you should, or shouldn't.
there is way more creativity and thought in his concept, and i missed the part where you thought about, or put any creativity in throwing an abundance of glass on your car.
