And where do you return them for the warranty?

Yes. I paid $20 each for mine. But I have a receipt and a lifetime warranty on them. I can just go down to Pep Boys and swap them out and have new ones on in a few minutes.

edit: was that $30 shipped for the pair?

I always used a good pair of vise-grips, they can fit in the glove box for easy access whenever you need them.

VICE-GRIPS ROCK!

And what about when you need to use those vicegrips to fix or loosen or tighten something under the hood?

Guess you have to carry around 2 pairs, right?

My hood opens from the back, nothing to hit my head on when working on my Z. God I love my 280zx! But no offense to you guys, just grateful for what I have.

The Z31's have the same issue with hood struts as we 280ZX guys have with hatch struts. Half the 280ZX guys I know, drive around with some form of hatch support in their car. Sticks are most common but when mine were wore out, I just used "The Club". It was like Christmas when I got the new ones. Just pop the hatch, lift a little and let them take over for ya... Awesome!

Hey WildMan, I learned a hard lesson about the hood on the S130 cars on a windy day. I never used the prop to keep it up for years because it stood up so good on its own. Well, one windy day with the car facing the right direction... Ouch!

Rod.

Yeah I have had that happen a couple of times before. LOL! But it is a rare thing to happen. By the way my hatch struts are still good.
