1984 A/E eddition dash

Re: 1984 A/E eddition dash
it'll cost a fortune, your dog, and your firstborn if you get it from Nissan.
I got a nice one from a salvage yard for 100$. You'll have better luck finding a good one out of an 88 or 89 since those have the fewest years on them. It'll fit just fine in your '84.
Don't bother trying to find an '84 black one. They only came in AE's. Black wasnt an interior color option for any of the 84/5's (except the AE) until '86.
good luck

If they're still available from Nissan then sure you can. You can also find used AE ones, but bear in mind that they're just as old and probably in much the same condition as the one you have. I put a black '88 dash in my '84 and it fits just fine and is in much better condition than the '84 AE dash I had (from a parts car). There is no difference from the AE one and any other 86-89 black one though. Just move your wiring harness to the new one, along with any other gizmos that are in it (like the little speakers up in the corner) and you're the only one that will ever know.
I've had no success trying to replenish one that's started to curl up. Far cheaper both money and time wise to just find a good used one to swap with.
