4 LUG 5 LUG
I’m fairly new to the Z Cars at least as an owner I have an 85 300 ZX with four lug wheels. I was curious if you could just switch out the front rotors and the rear axles with a five-lug car. Or if it was more of a problem than that
Also will wheels from other cars fit the four lugs or five lug. I have a friend with a Ford Probe who is planning on some new wheels in the near future and I was wondering if his five lug wheels would fit five lug 300 ZX wheels. I also can get a hold of some after market four lug RX7 wheels.
I know get the tape measurer out!!!
Thanks

Re: 4 LUG 5 LUG
you can swap the front to 5-lug easy enough. any 84/5 turbo or 86na one would fit quite easily. 87+ would be good too, then you'd have floating rotors, much easier to change in the future. You *might* also have to swap the rotors/calipers (i think) on the 87+ type.
rears are a bit more difficult. you have to swap (at bare minimum) the stub axle, which is held on with a 30mm nut, underneath the halfshaft hub where it bolts to the backside of the control arm. it's most likely easier to just swap the whole rear control arm since that 30mm bolt is on with about 284 or so ft-lbs of torqe. an 86na is the only one with 5-lugs that will work properly in your car though. 84/5/6 turbo use a different bolt pattern where the halfshaft bolts to the stub axle, and 87+ all use a different size control arm which means different length halfshafts.
5-lug wheels are on 4.5" centers, the same size as on ford mustangs, although i think you need spacers (not sure what thickness) as the offset is different.
