50th AE flutes
I have recently just bought a 50th AE ZX and I have noticed on the side of the car between the front wheel and door, that there are 2 flutes on either side of the car. The flutes look orginal, and I have taken it to a number of people and they are just as dumbfounded as I am. PLEASE can someone shead any light on the matter

Re: 50th AE flutes
No these are actually "slits" i guess you would call them. My 50th AE is actually very weird. I have got the 50th AE key and all so i know it is the real thing, but mine has instead of leather seats, velour seats and it is non-turbo. This might be the Aussie equivlent???

Re: 50th AE flutes
yes, the Aussie 50th AE is different. There were two different people on z31.com that each have one.
Here is one of the sites:

The flutes/slits (I'm guessing they are vents?) are not factory.
Just because you have a 50th AE key, it doesn't mean it's the real thing. A 50th AE key can be used in any Nissan sold since at least 1984. That's why we are able to use the z32 "300ZX" key in the Z31. Check out the above site for more pictures and such...
