Hello glad to be here
I have owned a met. gold 86 turbo 5 sp. coupe since ? 97-98 .I was a Datsun /Nissan tech for 10 + yrs in KC metro, starting in late 76. this year and 5sp. turbo was one I always dreamed of owning back then. So when in 97 this one was brought to me to try and get running at my home I gladly agreed to look at it. it was a basket case of problems . 1st it had had the injector rail fire and burnt up the wiring . Someone else had replace the intake and above with n/a maxima parts. telling the customer he needed other major parts to fix he agreed to sell it to me for $1200 . I thinking I might find the parts in salvage I finally did in the form of another ZXT for $800 except for the injector wiring .
then was told by the dealers that the car has to be running to quallify for the recall replacing the injectors and wiring or at least licensed . i contacted a DSM to get the OK to get it fixed .
the car has been sitting in my garage since 08 ,I want to drive it again or sell it .it is more of a toy than a daily driver for me . I have a 70 sPL 311 too and I drove one or the other through the years.
I had digital pics but lost when the computer crashed, it is mothballed now too buried under items now but will take new ones if we get a warm spell

Also I owned a 81 blue and silver 280zx turbo.. auto... I think ,in 88.
at the salvage yard I worked the owner let me have it cheap ,it was hit hard in the RR ,he gave me a rear clip with it for $2200 and had a guy to fix for $850
I owned it but never drove it sold it for $5200 , wish I hadn't. and had a nice 80 510 2dr and a 72 510 2 dr
Whitey Hertzog the KC Royals manager drove this color 280ZX and came to the dealer for service around 1980 I worked on it 2-3 times.
