87 300zx Firing problem?
A year ago I bought a 300zx 2x2 non-turbo that the guy before me turbocharged with stock parts from another z. A few weeks ago I was on my way to a 2nd interview and the one of the hoses broke. The car heated up to 3/4ish on the temp meter. Through circumstances I couldn't work on it myself and I had a guy at a shop overcharge me. Got it back and now it runs terrible. Sputters, skips, and backfires all the way up to 4k rpm. I called the shop and they ended up moving the distributor. But they insisted that its a gasket problem, even though the car isn't blowing out any smoke. I've changed the spark plugs and played with the firing ordering with no results. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Sorry for the late reply, but it was the radiator hose. So far I found that it isn't a head gasket. I went to autozone and they told me it was between the disturber and the plugs. So I replaced the sparkplugs, their wires, the disturber cap and rotor with no luck.
