Hi guys. New to the z cars but am learning pretty quickly. I bought my car about 5 months ago and everything worked as it should. The dash started to act up then just dies like all digital dashes do. I soldered the wires to the power supply. I have tried 3 known good clusters as well as 3 known good power supplies. Traced all wires and am just tired of wasting weekends so I'm going analog. From what I have gathered and correct me if I'm wrong; as long as the analog cluster and its wiring harness come from the same car it will all work fine? Or being that I have an 87 turbo will I need one from 87-89? Does it make a difference between turbo and non turbo? 5 speed or auto? Also do the side switches on each side of the cluster need to be from an analog car? Any info would be nice. Email, pm, reply to this post, or text me. Text would be best. As you have a turbo, you'll want the clusters from the turbo. It's just simpler to deal with. I don't believe there are any differences in the side buttons, but some of the 87+ cars did not come with cruise control. Your BEST bet is to find another 87 turbo with analog gauges and pull the dash. Then grab the dash harness, the side switches, and the clusters and swap into your car.

I see. I figured a turbo cluster would be ideal. Idc about the cruise control as mine doesn't work anyways. I just need to see speed fuel and water temp. I've found a few analog clusters that have the harnesses for each but none are 87s and I'm not sure if they are turbo. I just need to know if I get one from say an 85, will it work or one from a non turbo will it work and what may need to be done to make it work right.
