89 NA Injectors 1-3-5 Wired Together
While looking for another problem, I have found that the fuel injectors (1_3_5)are wired to one pair of wires, the red and Blue w/ red dots, coming from the ECU. Havent looked at the other side of the engine. But how can this run like this. The cars runs OK but should I try to reconnect then as shown in the manual. The pair that is connected to the injectors is, according to the manual, is for the #3 cylinder. Am I losing it or what?? Did someone install new injectors and wire them to only one lead from the ECU. Any ideas would be helpful.

Sounds like it had the Nissan injector recall done? Read this: http://www.az-zbum.com/information.i...r.recall.shtml

Question Answered
Hey, I am not losing it. A Big Thank You to NismoPick. You certainly know your Nissan's. My 89 is wired exactly as shown in the URL you provided. I would never have found that without your help. Now back to the original problem, now where was I. Thanks A Million, Tom in Alabama

The original problem was and maybe still is, that the engine would stumble or act like it wasn't getting enough fuel at speeds over 40mph. This seemed to be more a problem after the engine heated up. Once I drove about 50 miles and stopped to refuel and got back in and the car refused to crank. It would turn over fine but not even try to fire. I had the car towed home and the next moring it cranked right up. I checked fuel pressure, replace the fuel filter, tried another distributor, tried another ECU, looked for loose connections to the fuel pump, checked the relays, fuel and that reverse polarity one, out by the battery. I am still afraid to venture off too far as I still haven't found a definite bad part.
